Do you ever been so engrossed in reading a book, no matter the genre, that the surroundings simply become background noise? Are there instances when you read something and think, "Interesting," or when some characters are so irritating your feeling dips to the point you are fed up with that character?. Nevertheless, we continue to read regardless of what we are reading—whether it be a romance about love that is either the fluffy version of love or the darker version, a science fiction novel about theories, or a book about imaginary creatures. It is up to us whether we learn anything at all or not, which begs the question: what is your favorite genre?
Everyone has their own preferences, but occasionally there are those who are open to trying a variety of books regardless of the genre in which they are classified. Depending on your interest and curiosity after reading a few chapters of the book, they might really like it or they won't. The same is true for me in general; each book appeals to a different reader. Regardless of how you are feeling—frustration, despair, or even anger—if you are engrossed in your reading, you can quickly forget these emotions. Even if you don't forget your problem, reading will help you feel better.
