Zombies or Soldiers?

In the vast landscape of television series, few offerings manage to blend genres as seamlessly and effectively as “S.O.Z. Soldados o Zombies.” This gripping show dives headfirst into a world where the gritty realism of crime drama collides with the heart-pounding terror of a zombie apocalypse.

At its heart lies the enigmatic figure of Alonso Marroquín, portrayed with intensity by Sergio Peris-Mencheta. A legendary drug trafficker, Alonso’s daring escape from a high-security Mexican prison sets the stage for a pulse-pounding journey into the heart of darkness. Alongside him is his son Lucas, played with nuance by Nery Arredondo, as they seek refuge in the remote drug rehabilitation facility of Paradiso, situated on the American side of the border.

But their sanctuary is short-lived, as the consequences of a sinister military experiment gone awry come crashing down. Abandoned bodies of experimental piglets, victims of a failed U.S. military endeavor, are revived as mutant zombies, unleashing a contagion that threatens to engulf the borderlands in chaos.

As the mutant zombie outbreak spreads, the Mexican special forces tasked with apprehending Alonso and his son find themselves ensnared in a nightmarish battle for survival. Infected by the insidious virus, they become a formidable zombie army, adding a new layer of complexity to an already volatile situation.

Amidst the chaos, the United States Army is forced to confront the looming threat to humanity. With the stakes higher than ever, they embark on a daring mission to annihilate the mutant zombies before they can spread beyond containment.

Conclusion

In conclusion, “S.O.Z. Soldados o Zombies” is was in a sense crazy and how they went about the zombies was interesting, if anything it was almost like I was watching a better version of army of the dead still it is creepy to see zombies not only talk, but know when to take cover, how to ambush humans, scout, and when they create more zombies those extra zombies know when to listen to orders and so on. If all zombies were like this guy lets just say walking dead people will be going through quite a lot of nightmarish, assassin zombies and I would not like living in that zombie world. But the concept is still interesting and it is definitely worth the watch if you are into zombie horror/thriller movies. Although I do wish they added more because I do feel it was missing a few things, although I do not know what those missing things are it felt that it could of been much more either way, still if this zombie Spanish series is up your alley you should definitely go check it out, you never know it might impress you like it did me.
